The Model KFS250SS features:

• A vertical high-speed direct drive grinding spindle with 12,000 RPM.

• Straight and spiral gash hobs can be efficiently sharpened

• The coolant filtration system has been integrated into the machine bed to provide a 40% smaller footprint.

• GE Fanuc CNC control of all five axes eliminates manual setup and maximizes accuracy and repeatability with an operator-friendly prompting program as well as CNC storage of cutter data.

• The KFS250SS will sharpen to AGMA (American Gear Manufacturers Association) class "AAA" quality.

• Pneumatic tailstock provides positive clamping pressure while grinding.

• The Koepfer KFS250SS series is designed for hobs up to 10" in diameter, 12" of face.

• Capable of grinding high-speed steel (HSS) and carbide tools using CBN or diamond abrasive.

• Operators will appreciate the ergonomic considerations and accessibility of the machine spindles for easy setup.
